Indecision

Ok, so with a minimal amount of begging, I have come across some luscious little lonely lemon-colored yarn. I think it is a mohair/acrylic blend because is is both fuzzy and it squeaks. Nearest I can figure it is about 350 yards. Here is a pic of it. Don't worry, this isn't all of it.

It was actually one of the UFOs from The UFO Administration Service. I am supposed to make something of it by the 3rd week of May. And, the good news is, I have narrowed down the choices to two. The other good news is, you get to vote!

The BEST NEWS of ALL is, if you leave some way for me to get in touch with you (blog, twitter, or email), I will throw voter names in a hat and draw one for a lil' somethin' free for a prize! Probably something from my HeartFeltFun Boutique, though I haven't decided yet. Mystery Prize! LoL

The first choice is a lacy Tam (to the left) that would be nice and light to throw over beach (or pool, or just-mowed-the-lawn) hair, and would look GORGEOUS in this pretty, bright yellow.

The second choice is this light, lacy summer wrap/scarf (on the right). I am going to alter each pattern slightly, just in case I want to sell the item instead of keep it.

You can read about the winner HERE. Now, got to get on the knitting, ya know!

Oh, I really love the color!! I voted for the wrap because I bet it would really feel nice against the skin on a cool evening or morning! Great job, can't wait to see the finished product.

I voted for the tam. The pretty yellow yarn on a head would just look so cute. And I think that 300 yards would be just enough to do the job.

I think the color would make a very nice wrap.

The wrap for sure. I'm a shawl / scarf person, not a hat type and I love the color. I know where you could send it should you decide not to keep it !!!! LOL :-)

I have a light obsession with yellow recently, all variations (see on ravelry my Aeolian, can't be any brighter!) and although a hat would be lovely, my issue with hats is that you cannot wear them all year round, while a stole can - and so, no matter whether you're keeping it or giving it away, a stole would be the best choice, but then again I love stoles :)

I voted for the wrap. I think it would be lovely over a sundress in that yummy-looking yellow.

I imagine this yarn knitted using the Tam pattern, but maybe alter it with more yarn overs, knit2togethers, within the leaves to open it up more and to show how beautiful the yarn is...Good luck! I'm sure it will be lovely!

I love the color and I love the wrap! Can you share where the pattern came from? Now I'm off to check what UFO is!

I voted for the Tam, but I like the wrap too. Maybe my bad hair day is influencing my vote!?

The wrap is so lovely. Someone could use it to wrap up in on those summer nights when there is a little chill. Maybe cuddle up with some knitting or a good book. As if you don't know it my email is t_b_baker@yahoo.com.

I voted for the tam because, come on...you'd never really wear the wrap. Betsy would take it in the yard and fill it full of leaves or something.

voted tam, because I think it would be used more often:)

I voted for the tam...then was so disappointed to see it was losing!

It's a tough choice - but I had to go with wrap. Not everyone can pull off a hat - but I've yet to see someone look bad in a wrap! :)

That was a hard choice. I can't wait to see the finish product as I'm sure it will be beautiful.

I voted for the wrap because I think the yarn is a little too fuzzy for the tam pattern; with that pattern I would want really nice stitch definition!

I voted for the tam - less knitting, finish quicker!

I vote for the wrap-- because a wrap can always be tied around the hair, but a tam can't fit over the shoulders so well!

I love the "surprize" prize!

I voted for the wrap because you could probably wear it in many more ways

I love the color of the yarn! It's so soft and cheerful! I voted for the wrap also - but both would be awesome!

I voted for the wrap. That color is just so delicious I think it would make a lovely wrap!
I left a vote as nannasknitting.etsy.com however I couldn't find the post so as not to confuse you my blog is listed here.

Mmmmm.... The little tam is adorable with the top design, but the yarn really would look much better as the shawl. Just My Humble Little Opinion:) Good Luck in which ever one wins!

Wrap! Not much into hats, so maybe my personal preferences have made me a biased voter.
